Some days I think I should just give up and use my LJ account and do nothing but post to scans_daily.The out of context (kind of) panel is from the story "Gentle Brute" in Unknown Worlds #25 (August 1963). Both the story and the comic is just so appropriately named, isn't it? I mean, you know the editors and staff were sitting around a table pointing to the finished art and giggling like schoolboys. Check out the guy's leering expression. I'm a big believer in the idea that the creative teams of comic books chafed under the Comics Code Authority and often took the opportunity to slip gags and situations past the censorship panel that only mature readers would catch for what they really were.
