Get Nailed is a beauty and lacquer line by Kristen Wood of The Ten Spot Beauty Bars. The 20 polish range is 4-free and doesn't test on animals (yay!). I was excited to try one of these polishes because when I went to The Ten Spot on the Danforth for the "Thirsty Three" experience (mani/pedi/underarm wax) a month and a half ago, the esthetician used the Get Nailed base and top coats on my toes and fingers. Since then, I've removed the polish on my fingertips but my toenails... still. going. strong.
I tried the Get Nailed Lacquer in "Yep, That's Impressive" ($12), a light blue-turquoise that reminds me a whole lot of Essie Turquoise and Caicos except slightly more blue.
Yep, I am pretty impressed with this polish. It's opaque in two coats and not too thick and not too thin. It's fairly glossy without topcoat and lasted 4 days until the tips started to wear down. Under harsher lighting, the colour looks a bit more pastel (see below) but the true-to-bottle colouring is best reflected above.
The Get Nailed Lacquer in "Yep, That's Impressive" has made a lovely little addition into my Spring/Summer polish wardrobe. It's an impressive polish formula in an adorable colour! I've also got my eye on a few others from the Get Nailed line - "Your cab is here." (sunshine yellow) and "Watch the hair" (lilac). I'll be looking out to see what else this brand has in store.
