With all my moving around the globe, and my being able to experience new shops and brands, I’m sure you can imagine that my collection has been growing and growing over the past month. I’ve also had a chance to dig into my collection and fall in love with some products I haven’t used for a while. Without further ado, these are my favourite beauty products for the month of April!
Stila In The Moment Palette £25 LookFantastic
My Stila palettes have really been getting a workout recently. I’ve sort of fallen back in love with them after being loyal to my Naked 1 and 3 palettes for a little while. My Stila In The Moment palette (my latest acquisition) has really changed my view on the colour purple and I’ve been endlessly diving into it to create all sorts of different looks. I adore the lilac themed shades, and before I got this beauty through the letterbox, I’m a girl who was seriously lacking in the mauvey purple toned shades department. The thing with Stila though, is that their eyeshadows are such wonderful quality, which means they’re long lasting, non creasing, easily blenadable, intensely pigmented etc etc; so basically everything you could ever hope for from a product. I did a full review with swatches earlier in the month, so make sure you have a look at the amazing shades in the palette here.
Pink Hair Bow £3.49 eBay
I’m feeling a bit cheeky putting this bow in my monthly favourites because 1. It’s not technically a beauty product and 2. I only got it in the post on April 27th! The fact of the matter is, I fell instantly in love with it and I’ve barely taken it off since I got it. It’s such a girly and cute accessory, and such an affordable price (eBay wins, again!) These bows come in all sorts of colours, and they put such a gorgeous and effortless twist on an otherwise minimal outfit. I like to stick mine on the front of a messy bun; so cute!
Illamasqua Sculpting Powder Duo $45 MYER
As a girl who is into beauty, I love playing up my features using makeup techniques. I’m quite pleased that I’ve got quite high cheekbones, which I absolutely love exaggerating using a contour and highlight. Illamasqua’s Sculpting Powder Duo totally hooked me from day one when I saw it on the beautiful Beth’s blog ‘Bird’s Words’, and I knew I had to have it in my life. The contour colour is perfect for my fairly pale skintone, and can be applied more softly for daytime and really piled on for a heavy nighttime contour. The highlight is a gorgeous shade which I can only really describe as the colour of a moonbeam. It’s so beautifully sheer and flattering on loads of girls. The duo makes it easy to carry around in my travel makeup bag, and I feel as though the two shades are lasting pretty well. This has been a recurring favourite of mine for a couple of months, so it looks like this will be making an appearance in my 2014 favourites! I did a full review of this product, which you can have a read of here.
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque £19.15 LookFantastic
Since beginning to bleach my hair at the age of 14, my poor old locks have had a right old battering. My blonde hair is both dry and overprocessed, and I was looking for an intensive hair masque to restore it’s healthy, pretty and shiny-ness for ages! I’ve tried and tested a few, but none of them have done a much for me as this one has. It’s incredible and every time I use it I fall more and more in love. On top of the incredible scent, the beautiful packaging and the fair price, the masque is intensely nourishing and leaves my hair feeling gorgeously soft and looking shiny. It’ll definitely make it onto my repurchase list, and it seems like that won’t be too far away judging by how much I find myself reaching for it! Read my full review here.
Babescrub No. 2 Coffee Scrub $21.95AUD Babescrub
There are not words to express my love for this body scrub. I have been impressed over and over since I started using this back in January. This Babescrub targets cellulite and stretchmarks, and while I don’t really have many of those to reduce, the scrub also promotes skin cell renewal, baby smooth and glowing skin! I am always so pleased when I use the scrub because I’m so soft and nourished, and all the dead skin is removed. This one, unlike the other two Babescrubs, is used almost like a body mask, where you leave the scrub to dry on the skin for 5-10 mins. There’s something SO luxurious about this and I feel so pampered after I rinse it off. And on top of all this, I adore the smell of coffee. This scrub ticks all the boxes for me, and I’ll always trust Babescrub’s organic, nourishing formulas. I did a review on the full range (Pink Salt Scrub, Green Tea Scrub and Coffee Scrub) which you can read here.
Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Crayon in Vintage Pink £8 LookFantastic
I’m new to Lord & Berry’s range, but having only tried two of their products, I’m already hooked. The 20100 Lipstick Crayon is a luxuriously velvety lip product which applies an amazing amount of pigment on the lips in a non-drying formula. The shades are gorgeous; so far I’ve only got Vintage Pink and Fuchsia, and of the two (it’s hard to pick!) Vintage Pink is both beautiful and wearable. I’ve worn it a lot this month, and people always comment on it and ask where it’s from. It’s such a gorgeous product and I’m already interested in trying some of Lord & Berry’s other stuff. I did a full review on both the shades here!
Collection 2000 Extreme 24hr Felt Tip Liner £2.99 Superdrug
When you go for something cheap, you usually end up compromising the quality of the product. I’m a massive winged liner addict, but I’m also really clumsy when it comes to applying it, so the tapered end on a felt tip style liquid eyeliner is essential. Collection 2000’s offering is beautifully opaque and yields a smooth, crisp line, and for the price, I’m more than impressed. I get through my fair share of felt tip liners, and this one is definitely one I’ll go back to.
