SUQQU BLEND COLOR EYESHADOW IN 'KONRURI' (12)

I have a major love for Suqqu for their makeup brushes - you can see my review of three of them HERE (I have also since purchased the large eye shadow brush, which I will also do a review on soon).  I had read some very good reviews of their other makeup products as well, so I was excited to try the Suqqu Blend Color Eyeshadow Palette in 'Konruri' (#12).  This palette was released last year for Spring 2012, but it's still available.  I purchased it in March from Ichibankao.
Packaging
Above: outer box packaging.
The palette comes with a black suede pouch.
The compact itself is a black lacquer and very sleek.
Above: product description label on the bottom of the palette.
Underneath the lid is a large mirror for on-the-go application and/or touch-ups.  The palette also comes with a dual-ended sponge applicator and a dual-ended brush applicator.  They're excellent quality.
The brush have ultra soft, silky hairs - similar to their full-sized brushes. I'm very happy to use them.  ^_^  One end is shorter for packing on the product on the lid, and the other brush is longer and used for blending.  The sponges are high high quality and fairly dense.  The thinner end is great for lining the eyes precisely, while the other larger sponge end is used for packing product.

Colours
The palette contains 5 shades:
1. Dark navy blue with a satin finish.
2. Medium blue with silver micro-shimmers.
3. Shimmery taupe.
4. Shimmery, soft peach-beige.
5. Very pale, baby pink with a matte finish.

The two blue shades share one of the four pans with the least amount of product being the darkest shade.  I think this is logically fine by me as I would personally use the other three lighter and more neutral shades most of the time and the blues a little less.  I would mostly use the darkest blue shade as an eye liner for example, and therefore, would need to use up less of it per use.  The lightest shades are mostly used for all-over the lid as base colours or the mobile lid, so more product would be required of those shades.

The micro-shimmers really give a sheen rather than more obvious sparkles.

Together, all the colours make a very pretty combination, easy to wear and pull different looks for both day and night.
Swatches
Swatched in medium, olive, ~NC30 skin tone.  Photographed indoors under artificial lighting and using a strobe.

Texture, Pigmentation & Application
The lightest, matte shadow has the softest texture in the palette.  It's so ultra-fine (feels almost like air!) that it glides and melds so easily with the skin with just a single stroke.  It reminds me of my favourite Burberry eye shadows if not even finer.  It's beautiful and the pigment is still there and applies evenly. :)  All have enough pigment for normal application.  However, if you want a bolder look, the pigment may not be strong enough for you initially - but, you can build it up a little more with more layers.  Overall, the texture and amount of pigment are designed to be blended easily, smoothly and give soft, yet easy-to-build application without any harsh lines or edges.

Longevity
On my eye lids which have normal skin condition (neither oily or dry), the shadows are very long-lasting with very little fading from morning to evening (without the use of eye primer or a cream base).

Ingredients

Overall
Lovers of blues and neutrals combined (especially taupe!) will appreciate this palette along with its high quality and ease of use.  I know I do. :)

Hope this was useful.

Thanks for visiting! ^_^ xo
