BE STILL MY 'CŒUR BATTANT' FOR I HAVE A NEWFOUND POTENT, VIVID BEAUTY IN THINE NARS BLUSH!

Behold!  This (truly) vivid magenta beauty in thine hands blog!  I hope you have your sunnies on, because this latest, limited edition blush from Nars sure is bright and will have le "cœur battant" beat even faster!  :P

Just when I thought I already possessed the brightest and most pigmented of blushes, the Cœur Battant - one of 2 new blushes from the Nars Guy Bourdin Holiday 2013 Collection - knocks them out of the ball park in both respects! *_* AH-MAZEBALLS!!!!

Colour & Pigmentation
Uber *bright*, magenta blush.  The brightest I've seen!  It is also without a doubt, the most pigmented powder blush I've ever come across. >_<  Even when using the softest brush I have - my Suqqu Cheek Brush (reviewed HERE), with the utmost delicate tap on the powder (barely touching it!), I still find myself having to tap of excess coz it was just too much.  It's CRAZY!!!  I LOVE this!!!!  It just makes my jaw drop every time I use it.  There's no way I'd ever get through the entire blush in a life time with this much colour concentration.
Above: up close.

Texture, Finish & Longevity
Soft, silky textured powder - fairly easy to blend.  It has a matte finish.  Lasts through most part of the day with some fading on my dry skin.  (Although, I must say that when I did the heavy swatch for the photo below, I could remove it entirely!  A stain was still left behind even after washing a few times with my Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil!!!)

Swatches
All swatches below were applied on medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone and photographed indoors using a strobe.  On the left is how the blush looks when blended, but it is still quite a heavy application even with the smallest amount!  Obviously, you'd want to tone this down a lot more when applying on your cheeks for normal use.  Hehe...
Comparison Swatches
Below are comparison swatches with other pink blushes I have that are amongst the brightest.
Chanel Tweed Fuchsia and Tom Ford Narcissist (reviewed HERE) are more of a pink raspberry and deeper by comparison.  Chanel Ultra Rose (reviewed HERE) is much lighter, less pigmented, blue-toned pink compared to the more violet undertone of Nars Cœur Battant.  The latter is also the brightest of them all, particularly noticeable under sunlight.
Availability
Limited Edition.  Available now in Australia in Mecca Cosmetica.

Bottom Line
The most exciting blush so far.  Apart from the Fling Lip Set which I'm still hoping for (because of that awesome red lips case!), I'd recommend this blush as THE thing to get from the entire collection if you could only get one or two items.  I'd get a back up, but it's so pigmented, I won't need to!  I think anyone can pull this colour off, but this will look especially flattering and gorgeous on olive skin tones.

Hope this has made you as excited as I am about this blush!!!

Thanks for looking! ^_^ xo
