Are some smart lines thought of by some smart or ordinary person that we still use and quote until now. However, there are some brilliant quotes that maybe just sound cool when you mention it but in actual fact, they cannot be really applied in our daily lives or if they can be, it will be almost impossible for us normal beings with all the sins on our hands to do so.
One of those that I can think of is - Time will heal everything. Maybe it is true that time indeed heals wounds, physically and spiritually. But how long must we wait for that time to come? And what do we do in the mean time? So, in the mean time, when not enough time has passed, we will still be stricken in pain and suffering while waiting for enough time to pass by so that the pain will be reduced. Doesn't sound very doable to me, but maybe I can be wrong, since I don't have the experience of waiting long enough for time to heal everything. Or maybe these words are said to mean that when enough time has passed, or a long long time has passed, people tend to forget things. And by not remembering what hurt them at the first place, you are therefore considered healed? If so, what about those with photographic memory? They must be cursing their talents =)
The next one I can think of is - Forgive and forget. Is it really possible to forgive and forget? Are we that noble sometimes? Verbally, we might have forgiven somebody, but is it possible to forget that somebody has done wrong to you? If it is possible to forget, there won't be any prejudice in this world anymore. Maybe one of those few possible people to be able to do it is Mother Theresa.
Another quote would be - Money is the root of all evil. Have you seen Bill Gates rob a bank or snatch a handbag? Maybe he did commit some crimes, or maybe not, who knows, but he surely is not the most evil person on Earth considering he is the richest person on Earth for the umpteen year running. The more appropriate quote would - Lack of money is the root of all evil. If this sounds familiar, I took it from Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad series. A good read I must say, it opens your eyes to different perspectives about money, a taboo topic after sex.
Oh yes, speaking of money, Malaysia found her new millionaire, a carpenter who joined some competition organised by Telekom and won RM1 million. I'm jealous. And also, Low Sook Yee aka Suki, winner of One in A Million, a show designed to unearth singing talents organised by 8TV. I hope I got her name right, since I just watched a sort of documentary thing about her last night. Oh yeah, she stays in Seremban =) and I'm going Seremban, but she probably is leaving Seremban for greener pastures. Aww, shucks!

Life is like a box of chocolate, if you have not experienced bitterness in life, you wont appreciate the sweetness that comes along. Sounds pretty cool to me, I have never seen it used in this manner before. But my all time favourite phrase which is relevant in every single condition is
And This Too Shall Pass
